As the national coordinator of the ISEC National Cooperation Forum, operating within the Coalition for Cybersecurity in Healthcare (CyberC4HE), coordinated by Healthcare Poland, I am pleased to present to you the essence and significance of our initiative. In an era of dynamic digitalisation of the healthcare sector, when patient data and the continuity of medical services are exposed to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, ISEC is becoming a key tool in building a secure future for the Polish healthcare system.

What is the CyberC4HE Coalition?

The CyberC4HE coalition, which began operating in May 2024, is a joint initiative of Healthcare Poland and partners such as the Polish Hospital Federation and the Central Centre for Research, Innovation and Education of the Supreme Medical Chamber. Our primary goal is to raise cybersecurity standards in Polish medical facilities – from hospitals to clinics and telemedicine technology providers. We offer access to specialised training, audits and modern technological solutions to protect sensitive patient data and strengthen the healthcare sector’s resilience to cyberattacks.

ISEC – National Cooperation Forum in practice

As part of this broad mission, the ISEC National Cooperation Forum acts as a platform integrating and supporting the activities of the CyberC4HE Coalition. As the national coordinator, I am proud to say that ISEC is a place where representatives of hospitals, cybersecurity experts, technology providers and other healthcare-related entities meet. Our task is to create a space for exchanging experiences, developing best practices and jointly solving challenges related to digital security.

ISEC is not just a discussion forum – it is a practical tool for cooperation. We organise training courses, workshops and conferences that enable medical facilities to better understand contemporary threats and effectively counteract them. We support cybersecurity audits, thanks to which hospitals can identify weaknesses in their IT systems and introduce the necessary improvements. We also work with technology providers to deliver state-of-the-art security solutions to institutions.

Why is ISEC so important?

The role of ISEC within CyberC4HE cannot be overestimated. At a time when ransomware attacks and data leaks are becoming increasingly common, medical facilities need not only knowledge but also real support. ISEC gives them the opportunity to:

  • Education – we teach how to recognise and neutralise threats;
  • Cooperation – we build partnerships between hospitals and experts;
  • Preventive measures – we support audits and the implementation of modern security measures.

This makes the Polish healthcare system more resilient to the challenges of digital transformation, while keeping patient data secure.

Finally, I would like to invite all medical institutions, technology providers and cybersecurity specialists to actively participate in the activities of ISEC and the CyberC4HE Coalition. As national coordinator, I am convinced that only by working together and sharing knowledge will we be able to meet the growing challenges. Together, we can build a healthcare sector in which cybersecurity is a foundation, not just an add-on.

Yours sincerely,
ISEC National Coordinator
