Global Life Frontier Academy (GLFA) is a competence-based education programme for physicians and medical staff — not a series of one-off trainings. It connects Polish physicians with international reference centres so that modern models of diagnosis, patient selection and therapy can be implemented in Poland to international standards.
GLFA operates as a distinct physician track within the HCPL Department of Education. Programmes for hospital teams and de minimis and KFS funding are described on the Academy page.
Why GLFA
Years pass between approval of a new therapy in the most advanced health systems and its routine use in Europe. Meanwhile, patients ask about protocols a Polish team has never seen in practice. Theoretical education alone does not build system capability — it takes contact with a centre that runs the clinical pathway every day, and a structure that carries this knowledge into Polish practice.
GLFA bridges institutional certification (TQAMS) and physician competence: the hospital demonstrates organisational readiness, the physician — knowledge of the protocol, patient selection and pathway management.

How the programme works
Hybrid format: online preparation, immersion at a partner centre, post-return engagement through the alumni registry.

Who it is for
Admission is decided on merit, against the eligibility criteria published for each programme.
Funding participation
Credentials and recognition
- GLFA certificate of completion issued by the HCPL Department of Education after the final assessment.
- Partner-centre certificate of participation — international confirmation of participation in the knowledge-exchange programme.
- External accreditation pathways developed in dialogue with the medical chamber, European specialty societies and universities. Until established, certificates do not constitute continuing-education credits under professional-development regulations.
Partners and ecosystem
GLFA is developed with international reference centres. The Reference Hospital of the Israeli cooperation is Sheba Medical Center, operating in the Janusz Korczak Polish Ward model, in which Healthcare Poland Foundation acts as Authorized Representative and the HCPL Department of Education as owner and operator of the GLFA track for Polish physicians. In parallel we work with advanced-therapy partners, including PBKM/FamiCord, and facilities in the United Arab Emirates. Alumni join the GLFA registry: post-programme webinars, remote tumour boards and co-creation of a Polish knowledge base on protocols.
Programme values
Knowledge exchange between Polish physicians and the world’s leading centres is not a privilege of the few but an investment in the safety of Polish patients. GLFA follows Just Culture principles: transparent criteria, separation of the roles of teacher and assessor, patient autonomy, and responsibility for carrying knowledge back into one’s own system.
