The Innovation Department, together with the Innovation Centre, connects innovators, healthcare providers, regulators and investors within the Healthcare Poland Foundation. It is responsible for the path of a solution from idea, through research and development and real-world testing, to an implementation recommendation for the healthcare system.

Process scope
- Call — challenge announcement, intake of applications, pre-selection
- Assessment — technology readiness, clinical value, regulatory and data protection risks
- Pilot — test in the Living Lab or the operational sandbox under an agreed protocol
- Evaluation — indicators, pilot report, recommendation
- Scaling — implementation, financing and public procurement of innovation pathway
Procedures
- Submission of a solution or challenge and formal verification.
- Substantive assessment involving the Medical Care Department and the Legal and Compliance Department.
- Agreement on the test protocol, data scope and success criteria.
- Pilot delivery and indicator monitoring.
- Report with recommendation and transfer of conclusions to the Foundation’s self-learning loop.
Links within the Foundation system
The Department works with the Legal and Compliance Department (AI regulation, data protection), the Medical Care Department (clinical validation), the Clinical Research Department and with the Polish Hospital Federation for access to partner hospitals.
